අ/ ශ්‍රී සිද්ධාර්ථ මධ්‍ය මහා විද්‍යාලය 1873 දක්වා ඈතට දිවයන ඉතිහාසයක් ඇති, කලින් කලට වැටෙමින් නැගිටිමින් වර්ෂ 150 ක් ගල්කුලක් මෙන් විරාජමානව නොසැලී සිටින අධ්‍යාපන කෙන්ද්‍රස්ථානයකි. උක්කුබණ්ඩා කරුණාරත්න මහතාගේ නුවර කලාවිය නැමැති ග්‍රන්ථයෙන් 1873 දී ආරම්භ කල පාසල් 4න් එකක් ලෙස මෙම පාසල ඉතිහාසගවු බවට සාක්ෂි දරයි. වර්ෂ 1905 දී මෙම විදුහල රජයට පවරාගත් බවට මතයක් ඇති අතර පාසල් ඉතිහාසය ලිඛිත සාක්ෂි ලෙස ලොග් පොත ආරම්භ වන්නේ 1922.11.18 දින සිටයි.ආණ්ඩුවේ මිශ්‍ර පාසලක් ලෙස ආරම්භවන මෙම පාසලේ ශිෂ්‍ය සංඛ්‍යාව මෙම වර්ෂයෙදී 3000 පමණ වේ. වර්ෂ 1940 දී පමණ මෙම විද්‍යාලයෙන් මුලික කණිෂ්ඩ පාඨශාලා සහතිකපත්‍ර විභාගයට සිසුන් පෙනීසිට ඇත .1942 වර්ෂයේදී ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ පාඨශාලා සහතිකපත්‍ර විභාගයට සිසිනු පෙනීසිට ඇත. මෙම විද්‍යාලයට මුලින්ම ජාතික ඇදුමින් සැරසී පැමිණි මුල්ම ගුරුවරයා ලෙස 1944 වර්ෂයේ ආ. දායානන්ද මහතා ඉතිහාසගතවී ඇත. 1929 වර්ෂය වන විට මෙම විදුහල ආණ්ඩුවේ මිශ්‍ර පාසලක් ලෙස හදුන්වා දී ඇත. 1946.09.13 දින මෙහි දමිල සිසුන් 13 ක් දමිල අංශයද ආරම්භකර ඇති අතර එහි මුල්ම ගුරුභවතා රාසයියා මහතාය.

A/ Sri Siddhartha Madhya Maha Vidyalaya is an educational center that has a history dating back to 1873 and has been standing firm like a rock for 150 years. The history of this school as one of the 4 schools started in 1873 from Mr. Ukkubanda Karunaratne's book titled Kandy Kalavia is evidenced. It is believed that this school was taken over by the government in the year 1905 and the log book as a written evidence of the school's history starts from 18.11.1922. Around the year 1940, students from this college appeared for the primary junior school certificate examination. In 1942, they appeared for the senior school certificate examination. In the year 1944, as the first teacher to come to this college in national dress. Mr. Dayananda has made history. By the year 1929, this school was introduced as a government mixed school. On 13.09.1946, 13 Tamil students started the Tamil section here and the first teacher was Mr. Rasaiah.
